The Russian Super Cup is a one-match football annual competition. The two participating clubs are the Russian Premier League champions and the Russian Cup winners of last season. If the Premier League and the Cup are won by the same team, then the other participant is the league runners-up. The match is played at the beginning of the season, typically in July.The game was held in the neutral field. If there is a tie after 90 minutes, then an overtime will be held for 30 minutes. And if there is still a tie in overtime, then the victory will be determined by a penalty kick.
