There are 54 teams in total. After 2 rounds of qualifying (teams play against each other over two legs on a home-and-away basis, ranked by goals scored), 20 teams will come out. 20 teams will divided into 5 groups then, and teams play against each other over two legs on a home-and-away basis, ranked by points. The 1st place in each group (total 5 teams) will qualify for the World Cup.
